grand launching, november 29, 2025

The Grand Launching of the Grebo Confederation will be taken place in Harper City, Maryland County, Liberia on November 29th, 2025. We invite everyone to be present to watch our Grebo cultures on display. During the launching, there will be a lot of activities such as Track and Field, Needle Race, Eggs Race, Grebo Wrestling, Kickball tournament, Football tournament, Traditional Dances, country cook all around the county, parade throughout the streets of Harper city, an indoor program for the grand ball, etc. You are invited to participate in our grand launching. There will be something for everyone. You could be an onlooker or a participant and be a part of history. Join us celebrate our Grebo culture and tradition. Let this launching foster unity and understanding among our diverse communities. You are also invited to join our meetings whenever they are scheduled. The zoom link will be posted soon.

GREBO COnFEDERATION SPELLING - B

The Grebo Confederation as part of its Mid-year project had her first Spelling Competition among some elementary schools within the Harper District under the leadership of Mr. J. Kodjo Wilson and his team in collaboration with his counterpart Mr. Edward H. Stemn from Pleebo City. Bravo to the team that did all the work behind the curtains to make this program a success.The competition went well, and we had a great turnout. First-place winner was Child Care Rehabilitation School System while the second-place winner was Our Lady of Fatima Elementary School, and the third-place winner was Sarah Elizabeth Gibson Elementary School. Sarah Elizabeth Gibson also produce the Best Speller of the tournament, in person of student Joseph Y Wilson. Private schools won the first and second places while a public school won the third place and also produced the best speller. Other participating schools were Harper Elementary Demonstration School, Nathan Barnes Elementary School, Jack Martin Baptist Elementary School. E. Othello Gongar Elementary School, Penworth Academy, Education First Academy and Big Town Public School. J. S. Pratt Methodist Elementary School and Yu A Kpa were not able to participate because of logistical reasons. The competition was held on June 12, 2025, and started at 10:00AM Liberian time/GMT.

Student Joseph Y. Wilson of the Sarah Elizabeth Gibson Elementary School was the best speller during the Spelling Competition and won an award. He will always be remembered as a special student.
